Mattia Cavaliere is an Italian cinematographer who prioritizes story above all else. Beginning his career in graphic design, he also cut his teeth in the grip and electric department on local projects.

He strives for good quality composition and emotive cinematography, capturing images that serve the story and tell human emotions, regardless of the subject matter.

He learned under the mentorship of award-winning director of photography Denson Baker ACS NZCS. 

When he isn’t on set, Mattia loves to spend time with his wife and son Sebastian, watching movies, reading about viking culture and playing with motion graphics and cgi images.
